We’re proud to be supporting one of the North West’s most ambitious town centre regeneration schemes. Acting as Principal Designer under the Building Regulations and as CDM Client Advisor, we’re working closely with the wider project team to ensure safety and compliance are prioritised throughout this complex, multi-phase development.
The regeneration spans several acres in the heart of Stockport and forms part of a wider strategic transport and infrastructure plan. The scheme will introduce:
1,000 new homes
New commercial, retail, and office space
Public green spaces to improve access and connectivity
Enhanced cultural and leisure facilities
A key aspect of the work involves the sensitive restoration of a heritage building, carried out in collaboration with a leading social impact development partner. This element aims to bring the site back into meaningful use, creating a vibrant new destination that respects Stockport’s historic character while supporting its future growth.
As the development progresses, it is set to unlock significant economic, social, and environmental benefits for the town – creating new opportunities for residents, visitors, and businesses. Safer Sphere continues to play a key role in ensuring health, safety, and wellbeing are embedded throughout.
