We are one of 162 employers across the UK to receive the Gold Award in 2026, joining organisations from across construction, healthcare, education, professional services, transport and the public sector.
The achievement builds on our previous Silver Award and recognises the long-term, practical support we provide to serving personnel, Reservists, veterans, military families and Cadet Force Adult Volunteers.
Recognition of a lasting commitment
Gold is the highest level within the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme. It is awarded to organisations that go beyond their Armed Forces Covenant commitments by embedding forces-friendly policies, supporting Reservists and military families, creating opportunities for veterans and actively encouraging others to support the Armed Forces community.
For Safer Sphere, this commitment is about more than meeting the award criteria. It reflects the type of employer we want to be and the value we place on the skills, experience and different perspectives that people connected to the Armed Forces bring to our business and the wider construction industry.
“Winning Gold is a significant achievement for Safer Sphere and reflects the genuine commitment shown across the business. We are proud to support those who serve, have served and their families, and to create a workplace where their skills and experience are understood, recognised and valued.”
