Safer Sphere is thrilled to announce the completion of Phase 1 refurbishment at the Manchester Aquatics Centre, enabling the successful hosting of last week’s World Para Swimming Championships. As Principal Designer Advisors to Kier, Safer Sphere played a crucial role in assisting with the handover.

Emphasising innovation and safety, we employed the pioneering HARM Zero tool, utilising cloud-based collaborative DRM. Despite COVID-19 challenges, we upheld stringent safety standards, safeguarding all stakeholders. Working with Kier and Holobuilder, we diligently tracked risks in immersive 360-degree VR, ensuring safety remained paramount.

The Centre now reflects modern excellence with upgraded pools, cutting-edge fitness facilities, and improved accessibility provisions. Additionally, it embraces digital and sustainable technologies, aligning with Manchester City Council’s net-zero carbon emissions goal by 2038.
