Manchester City Council has recently approved Jon Matthews Architects’ proposals for a new city-centre 1,000-bed student residential scheme with 26,200m² of office space. Safer Sphere is thrilled to be providing Principal Designer services alongside the great team, including Manchester City Council, Dominvs Group, Premier Inn Hotels, Jon Matthews Architects, Planit-IE, Turley, Ramboll, Ridge and Cumming.

This project is new development that addresses the demand for office space and student accommodation in Manchester. Situated at a prominent location between Manchester City Centre and Hulme to the south, the design presents an opportunity to enhance the public realm with green spaces for relaxation and tranquillity, including ‘Pocket Art Park,’ Rain Gardens, and Tree Groves adjacent to the Mancunian Way. The development is scheduled to be ready for occupancy by Autumn 2025.
