Safer Sphere is excited to be supporting Peel NRE in a health and safety assurance role at the iconic Fiddler’s Ferry Power station in Warrington. Once fired by coal, the site is now a decommissioned brownfield site and one of the biggest in the country. Peel NRE purchased the site with a vision to redevelop what once was a power station into a new development for industrial use and the creation of a new sustainable community to create jobs and address local housing shortages. For decades, Fiddler’s Ferry had vast significance in Warrington for power and employing local workers so it’s a fantastic opportunity to ensure the site continues to secure much-needed future investment for the town and wider region.
