Safer Sphere has been appointed as CDM (Construction, Design and Management) Client Advisor and Principal Design Advisor on the new £13m development in the disused Dock Branch rail corridor in Birkenhead. The project will see the Dock Branch rail corridor cleared and transformed into a ‘linear’ park with the creation of a heritage visitor attraction: the Transport Shed. Enabling Works have begun for partial site clearance of vegetation in the rail corridor, this will allow further survey work to take place and the follow on design work needed to prepare the site for the project works. The project is forecast to be completed in 2025.
