Safer Sphere supported Gateway 2 approval for a student accommodation scheme over 18m in central Bristol.
Safer Sphere is supporting the redevelopment of the former South Plaza office block into 360 Bristol — a £100m purpose-built student accommodation scheme in the heart of Bristol.
This 18m+ project has achieved Gateway 2 approval, enabling it to progress confidently into construction under the requirements of the Building Safety Act 2022. Our in-house Principal Designer team, spanning both CDM and Building Safety, supported the design stage through to submission with a joined-up compliance strategy.
The scheme includes 370 high-quality student bedrooms and state-of-the-art amenities, such as:
Fitness and wellbeing spaces (gym, yoga studio, spin room)
Communal study areas, screening room, golf simulator, and café
370 secure cycle spaces (zero-car policy)
A green roof and improved public realm to support biodiversity
