Gateway Two Approval
Southside Residences, Birmingham
Construction is set to begin on Southside Residences (Kent Street), Birmingham, following Gateway Two approval from the Building Safety Regulator.
A residential-led development in one of Birmingham’s emerging areas, the scheme will deliver:
The building is arranged across ground floor and 11 upper levels, designed to support high-quality urban living while meeting the requirements of the Building Safety Act 2022.
Safer Sphere supported Prosperity Developments as Building Regulations Principal Designer Advisor and Client Advisor, providing oversight of compliance through design and supporting the project through the Gateway Two process.
This approval marks a significant milestone for the project team. Southside Residences is the second project for Prosperity Developments to achieve Gateway Two approval.
Construction is due to commence shortly, with anticipated practical completion in Q3 2027, before progressing to Gateway Three. Site mobilisation is expected within the coming weeks.
