We’re working with Latimer Developments to support the delivery of one of the UK’s first high-rise new-build schemes to progress through the Building Safety Act’s Gateway Two. Acting as Principal Designer under the Building Regulations and as Client Building Safety Advisor, our team is helping the project meet enhanced safety standards introduced under the new legislation.
The Dyecoats regeneration will deliver more than 1,600 new homes and up to £300 million in projected social value, transforming a major brownfield site into a new urban neighbourhood.
A ground-breaking ceremony marked the official start of construction, attended by senior leaders from Latimer, regional political representatives, Homes England, charity partners and contractor GRAHAM. Phase 1 will deliver 434 homes, including 100 for social rent and 138 for shared ownership, supported by a new food hall, high-quality public realm and improved access to the River Aire.
The scheme is designed to meet Future Homes Standards, achieve net zero carbon in operation, and provide extensive green spaces, gardens and children’s play areas to support an inclusive and biodiverse community.
Dyecoats is one of the UK’s first high-rise new-build schemes to progress through Gateway Two of the Building Safety Act. Our early involvement has enabled a clear and compliant pathway into construction, embedding safety requirements into the design and supporting the delivery of a landmark, sustainable regeneration programme for Leeds.
