Safer Sphere continues award win

Safer Sphere is delighted to announce that we were ‘Highly Commended’ at the St Helens Chamber Business Awards for ‘Employer of the Year’ and took home the award for ‘Best Health and Safety Consultancy’ at the industry North West Grafters awards.

The awards were held at venues in St Helens and Manchester and representatives from the business were on hand to receive the accolades.

We were fortunate to take home the national award last year for ‘CDM Consultant of the Year’ and we to continue to take home more accolades demonstrating the businesses continued growth and presence in the industry and beyond.

Mike Forsyth, Managing Director, Safer Sphere said “We were in a fortunate position to be up for two separate awards with two different award bodies on the same evening, which was a nice situation to be in. We are delighted to take home Best Health and Safety Consultancy at the Grafters as the award describes exactly what we do and what we are all about as a business. It was also an honour to be highly commended for Employer of the Year at the Chamber awards, as it is our people who make our business great. We never take anything for granted and all recognition is truly appreciated and reaffirms that we are doing well as a business.”

Safer Sphere hires new Director

Safer Sphere is pleased to announce that the business has appointed a new Director to assist Managing Director Mike Forsyth with the day to day running of the business.

Jonathan King formerly Head of Safety Management at WYG and Head of Project Safety at Edmond Shipway has been brought into the business to help with its growth strategy from our North West HQ, operating nationally across our three offices.

Jonathan has a wealth of experience in CDM and Construction Health and Safety having worked on projects ranging from £20m to £750m across the UK.

Jonathan said “I am delighted to be joining Safer Sphere, especially at such an exciting time. The business has seen growth year on year and what Mike and the team have achieved in this time has been exceptional. The company has started to get noticed not only in the industry but as a successful business which has been proven by the multiple award wins and nominations and by the key projects the business is working on. I am looking forward to working with Mike and the team and using my knowledge and experience from previous roles, I hope to help the business grow and further succeed.”

Safer Sphere makes final of St Helens Chamber Business Awards

Safer Sphere is delighted to have made it into the final of the St Helens Chamber Business Awards in the tough category of ‘Employer of the Year’. The St Helens Chamber Business Awards are a celebration of local business and the winners in category go forward to compete in the National Chamber Awards which is a massive opportunity.

Mike Forsyth, Managing Director, Safer Sphere said “We are absolutely thrilled to have made the final of the St Helens Chamber Business Awards in the competitive category of ‘Employer of the Year’. This category, in particular, means a lot to us as a business as it is our people that make our business and we want to keep and attract the best talent to so that we continue to grow. The St Helens Chamber Business Awards takes place on Thursday 16th May at the Totally Wicked Stadium.

Safer Sphere scoops Small Business of the Year award

Construction Health and Safety specialists Safer Sphere has taken home the award for ‘Small Business of the Year’ at this year’s Pride of St Helens Business Awards. This comes fresh off the back of the company’s win at the National Association for Project Safety (APS) awards where the business was crowned CDM Consultant of the year.

The Pride of St Helens Business Awards are a celebration of local businesses and what theses business bring to the town.

Mike Forsyth, Managing Director, Safer Sphere said “We were pleased to have made the final but to take home the award, in what I feel was a very strong category is an amazing achievement. The awards night had so many fantastic businesses from the local area and really highlights the positive impact that these businesses bring to the town and the local economy. All our team are either from St Helens or the surrounding area and this recognition of our business is down to them and the hard work they put in. It was a proud moment to accept this award and we will continue to earn this title by providing the best expert service by the best team.”
