Safer Sphere appointed on Proxima Park

Safer Sphere is pleased to announce our appointment on the Phase 1 development at Proxima Park in Hampshire. The project sees the construction of 2 new warehouse buildings divided into 13 separate units with offices. Other work includes the construction of a parking area, access roads and drainage installations. Safer Sphere is acting as Principal Designer Advisors to UMC Architects and CDM Client Advisor to the client on the project. The development is due to be completed later this year.

Safer Sphere appointed on First Panettoni project

Safer Sphere is pleased to be part of the First Panettoni project in Basildon. The development includes demolition works of the existing buildings and slab and the construction of a new steel portal framed building. The construction takes place on the former Kongsberg Plant site and Safer Sphere is supporting the development in the role of Principal Designer Advisor to UMC Architects through RIBA stages 1-4.

Safer Sphere consultant wins National Safety Award

Safer Sphere Senior CDM Consultant, Allan Briscoe has won the coveted ‘Member of the Year’ award at the National Association for Project Safety (APS) awards. Allan has been with the Construction (Design and Management) specialists for over 3 years and the Senior Consultant is not only an expert in Health and Safety but is also a qualified, experienced Architect of more than 30 years.

The award recognises someone who not only goes above and beyond in their day job but celebrates the positive impact that person has had on the industry. The award also demonstrates outstanding leadership in design and construction health and safety risk management.

Other criteria for the award included charity support, in which Allan developed architectural plans for a new maternity hospital in a deprived area of Rwanda for the Shyira Trust, a small Formby-based charity.

Allan Briscoe, Senior CDM Consultant said “I am delighted to take home the award for APS Member of the Year. There were 9 safety professionals shortlisted, so take home the award is a real honour, especially as the APS is an industry recognised association.”

Safer Sphere appointed on Old Bailey Refurb

We are delighted to share our appointment on a refurbishment project at 20 Old Bailey in London. The project will see the fit-out and associated works to part of the 5th floor of the building to provide serviced office accommodation and facilities. We are pleased to be supporting Consensus Workspace Ltd on the project providing Principal Designer Advisor support and contactor support.

Safer Sphere introduces new arm of the business Promo Sphere

Construction Health and Safety Consultants Safer Sphere, has announced a new arm to their consultancy services by offering marketing consultancy. The service will primarily focus on construction business’s but is open to all SME’s requiring marketing support throughout the UK.

Head of Marketing Services at Promo Sphere, Lisa Mitchell (MCIM) said “We have found over the past couple of years that our clients are sitting up and taking notice of what we are doing to raise our brand profile. A lot of these clients are SME’s and do not necessarily require a full-time marketing person but do require marketing support. Over the past few years, we have provided our clients with tender support as well as Health and Safety support and after the positive feedback we have been receiving about our marketing activity, we saw an opportunity to use our knowledge to help not only our clients but also help other businesses with their marketing goals. I have helped multiple SME’s grow their business throughout my career from solicitors to domestic clients, and I am really excited to be using my skills and experience for Promo Sphere.”

Safer Sphere appointed on UCLAN scheme

Safer Sphere delighted to reveal that we have been appointed as Principal Designer Advisor on the University of Central Lancashire’s (UCLAN) Student Centre and University Squares (SCUS) schemes. The £60 million transformation plan for the Preston Campus will see the 5-year vision to transform the site to become a welcoming and sustainable campus to enhance the experience for those who visit the University. We are supporting Bowmer and Kirkland on the development through RIBA stages 4 – 6 on the project which should the university become one of the largest in the UK.

Safer Sphere appointed on Central Library Refurbishment

Safer Sphere is pleased to share our appointment on the interior maintenance project at the Central Library in Liverpool. We have been working on the project over the past few weeks which is due for completion at the end of August.

The project involves refreshing the interior of the Picton Reading Room inside the library and plaster repairs. Safer Sphere is supporting ENGIE on the project in the roles of Principal Designer Advisors and Temporary Works Coordinator.

Safer Sphere is delighted to announce that our very own Allan Briscoe has been shortlisted for the Association for Project Safety ‘Member of the Year’ award at this year’s National APS awards. We couldn’t be prouder of Allan for getting to the final, and we will be a keeping our fingers crossed for the awards next month. Well done Allan!

Safer Sphere appointed on ITV leisure scheme

Safer Sphere is delighted to reveal that we are working on the new ITV leisure attraction at the Lowry Outlet. The attraction will be the first of its kind and is due to be completed next year.

The strategic partnership with ITV is part of a wider masterplan and £26m regeneration of the Lowry into a leading leisure and retail destination that will also see the opening of a new waterside dining concept in 2020.

Safer Sphere is supporting the project in the roles of CDM Client Advisor to Peel Land and Property throughout the project and Principal Designer Advisors to Artez Ltd through RIBA stages 1 – 4.


Capitol House, Dandara, London CDM, CDM 2015

Safer Sphere appointed on Capitol House development

Safer Sphere is pleased to reveal that we have been appointed on the Capitol House project in London. The development will see the current site transformed into a six-storey building with 84 new residential apartments. Safer Sphere is supporting Dandara on the project in the roles of CDM Client Advisor through RIBA stages 5 – 6. The redevelopment will also deliver basement car parking spaces and cycle spaces alongside private and communal amenity space. Additionally, the development will include associated works to the existing highway and new site access roads, ramps and paths and infrastructure works.
