Safer Sphere Senior CDM Consultant, Allan Briscoe has won the coveted ‘Member of the Year’ award at the National Association for Project Safety (APS) awards. Allan has been with the Construction (Design and Management) specialists for over 3 years and the Senior Consultant is not only an expert in Health and Safety but is also a qualified, experienced Architect of more than 30 years.
The award recognises someone who not only goes above and beyond in their day job but celebrates the positive impact that person has had on the industry. The award also demonstrates outstanding leadership in design and construction health and safety risk management.
Other criteria for the award included charity support, in which Allan developed architectural plans for a new maternity hospital in a deprived area of Rwanda for the Shyira Trust, a small Formby-based charity.

We are delighted to share our appointment on a refurbishment project at 20 Old Bailey in London. The project will see the fit-out and associated works to part of the 5th floor of the building to provide serviced office accommodation and facilities. We are pleased to be supporting Consensus Workspace Ltd on the project providing Principal Designer Advisor support and contactor support.
Construction Health and Safety Consultants Safer Sphere, has announced a new arm to their consultancy services by offering marketing consultancy. The service will primarily focus on construction business’s but is open to all SME’s requiring marketing support throughout the UK.

A lot of these clients are SME’s and do not necessarily require a full-time marketing person but do require marketing support. Over the past few years, we have provided our clients with tender support as well as Health and Safety support and after the positive feedback we have been receiving about our marketing activity, we saw an opportunity to use our knowledge to help not only our clients but also help other businesses with their marketing goals. I have helped multiple SME’s grow their business throughout my career from solicitors to domestic clients, and I am really excited to be using my skills and experience for Promo Sphere.”

Safer Sphere delighted to reveal that we have been appointed as Principal Designer Advisor on the University of Central Lancashire’s (UCLAN) Student Centre and University Squares (SCUS) schemes. The £60 million transformation plan for the Preston Campus will see the 5-year vision to transform the site to become a welcoming and sustainable campus to enhance the experience for those who visit the University. We are supporting Bowmer and Kirkland on the development through RIBA stages 4 – 6 on the project which should the university become one of the largest in the UK.
Safer Sphere is pleased to share our appointment on the interior maintenance project at the Central Library in Liverpool. We have been working on the project over the past few weeks which is due for completion at the end of August.
The project involves refreshing the interior of the Picton Reading Room inside the library and plaster repairs. Safer Sphere is supporting ENGIE on the project in the roles of Principal Designer Advisors and Temporary Works Coordinator.
Safer Sphere is delighted to reveal that we have been appointed on the new Tower Works PRS scheme in Leeds. This new build project will see the construction of 245 apartments set within the distinctive waterside development. One major aim of the project is to combine the iconic buildings of the area with the new neighbourhood to offer ‘landmark living’. Safer Sphere is acting as CDM Client Advisors to Ask Real Estate on the development which starts on site next month.

Safer Sphere is delighted to reveal that we are working on the new ITV leisure attraction at the Lowry Outlet. The attraction will be the first of its kind and is due to be completed next year.
The strategic partnership with ITV is part of a wider masterplan and £26m regeneration of the Lowry into a leading leisure and retail destination that will also see the opening of a new waterside dining concept in 2020.
